Community Development & Empowerment
The Church from bible days has been considered and is supposed to be the light and salt of the earth. We do not just attend to respond to spiritual needs but also community and humanitarian needs. Like the levite and the priest we don’t want to overlook the hurting and those with physical lack as we meet spiritual needs. We have stood out like the good Samaritan who can heal the wounds and meet the practical needs of the communities that surround us. Apart from every individual church and ministry doing there thing we have a big focus to mobilize churches to JOINTLY attend to community needs as they did in the early church as a church they fed widows Acts Chp 7, they send food to Judea, they brought resources and lands which were distributed to those who had needs.
We have been involved and we seek to intensify in community humanitarian programs such as.
1) Distributing food, clothing to needy communities in the slums, disaster zones and drought stricken areas
2) Set up health centers in partnership with government and communities
3) Mobilize campaigns to fight and eradicate diseases and pestilences that affect and attack our community (eg H.I.V& STDs, Malaria, Cholera, etc) through joint health camps, education & training, environmental management.
4) Provide access to water by digging conservation water dams, digging boreholes,
5) Setting up and partnering with existing Children homes, Street Children/ Drug addicts rehabilitation Centers,
6) Environmental management programs - Partnering and collaborating with local authorities and communities to clean towns and cities, tree planting, maintenance of parks etc.
7) We are already engaged in Tourism and Investment campaigns as National project to boost National economy and create jobs.
For the humanitarian work we are working Helpers of Africa a registered Non Governmental Organization. Through your prayers and Support we shall do more and touch and impact many lives.
